Practice problem from 25 January.
Problem:
Laptops run out of battery too fast.
Conversion 1:
How would [Problem] look if it was inverted?
Laptops would run out of battery faster, near instantly. They would need constant charging or something.
Conversion 2:
How would [Problem] look if time was sped up or slowed down?
If sped up - Repeat of first answer, laptops would run out of battery faster. Maybe would result in more charging available? Faster charging perhaps?
If slowed down - Would look similar to how the future already looks. Nothing new.
If slowed down in a major way, perhaps more remote work w/less power options?
Conversion 3:
What is the 20% most significant part of [Problem]?
Emotionally? Probably the last 5-10% running out. Perhaps the psychological effect could be different if we changed how battery percentages looked?
Conversion 4:
What comes before this problem?
The decision not to charge a laptop fully, or the inability to have a laptop with a long long lifespan.
Even further before the problem is the decision to make a horsepower/efficiency tradeoff. Generally the more powerful a machine, the less battery life it has.
Conversion 5:
What are the 3 things that come after this problem?
What are the 3 things that come after this problem?
Inability for people to get things done online (medium bad), more attuned to the real world (good), sadness over state of technology (good/motivation), laptop turns from powerful thing to useless piece of metal.
